How to delete your data from LearnByAi
You can delete individual documents at any time from within the app. For full account deletion, or to remove data collected through our WhatsApp integration, this page explains exactly what gets deleted and how to request it.

What a deletion request covers
A full data deletion request removes all of the following from our systems. You can also delete individual documents without triggering a full removal.
Uploaded documents
The files you uploaded for analysis, removed from Cloudinary file storage.
Document embeddings
The vector embeddings generated from your documents, deleted from the Qdrant index.
Chat history
The questions you asked and the answers generated, removed from the database.
Account records
Your account credentials and session metadata, removed from Supabase.
WhatsApp data
Your phone number, message history, and any documents uploaded through the WhatsApp interface.
Wallet records
Balance records and transaction history may be kept where needed for accounting, refunds and payment disputes. Payment records for card payments are held by our payment provider, Polar, and are governed by its own retention policy. Records held by your mobile wallet or bank are governed by their own retention policies.
Two ways to remove your data
Choose the method that fits your situation.
From the app: delete individual documents
In your document library, select the document you want to remove and click Delete. This immediately removes the file, its vector embeddings, and its chat history. No email required. Immediate, no approval needed.
By email request: full account or WhatsApp deletion
Email support@learnbyai.app with your account email or WhatsApp number. We may ask you to verify the request from the same address or number before processing it. Processed within 30 days.
What happens after you request deletion
Once we confirm your request, a cascading removal runs across every system that holds your data.
- Files removed. Documents deleted from Cloudinary
- Vectors wiped. Embeddings deleted from Qdrant
- Records cleared. Rows removed from Supabase
- Sessions ended. Session data removed; some billing and operational records may remain
Where backup copies exist, deleted data may remain in them for a limited period until they are cycled out on their normal schedule.
Data collected through our WhatsApp interface
LearnByAi offers a WhatsApp interface built on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta's Platform Policy requires every app built on its platform to provide a clear data deletion process for users of that integration. This section applies to anyone who has messaged our WhatsApp number, whether or not they linked it to a LearnByAi account.
Your WhatsApp phone number
Used solely to route your conversation and, if you linked an account, to associate your WhatsApp session with your LearnByAi account.
Message and document history
The messages you sent and any documents you uploaded through WhatsApp for analysis, processed the same way as documents uploaded via the web app.
Account link status
If you used the /link flow to connect your WhatsApp number to a LearnByAi account, we store that link so your WhatsApp sessions can access your account's plan and history.

Deletion questions
How long does deletion take?
Once a deletion request is confirmed, removal runs across file storage, the vector index and the database. Where backup copies exist, deleted data may remain in them for a limited period until they are cycled out on their normal schedule.
Can I delete individual documents without closing my account?
Yes. You can delete individual documents at any time from within the app. This removes the file from storage, its vector index, and the related database records right away. Your account and other documents are unaffected.
Does deleting my WhatsApp data affect my web account?
No. Deleting your WhatsApp data removes your phone number, WhatsApp message history, and documents uploaded via WhatsApp from our systems. Your web-based account and its documents remain active unless you also request full account deletion.
Can I remove the WhatsApp link without deleting all my WhatsApp data?
Yes. If you have a linked LearnByAi account, you can remove the WhatsApp connection from your account settings without deleting your full account or requesting a data purge. This simply unlinks the phone number from your account.
Does this deletion policy cover my actual WhatsApp account?
No. This process only removes data held within LearnByAi's own systems. It does not affect your WhatsApp account, phone number, or any Meta account. To manage your WhatsApp account, use WhatsApp's in-app settings or Meta's Help Center.
What if I used LearnByAi without an account?
Anonymous sessions are tied to a browser token rather than an email address. If you have already cleared your browser data, the session token may no longer be traceable. Email us with any details you have (session date, approximate usage, etc.) and we will do our best to locate and remove the relevant data.
Do you verify deletion requests?
Yes. We may ask you to confirm your request from the same email address or WhatsApp number associated with the data, to prevent someone else from deleting your records. We will not process a deletion request we cannot verify.
